Timeless linen

Each of our shirts tells a story of quality and passion and shows meticulous attention to detail. We love the creased elegance of linen, exalted by a nonchalance style

Linen is the oldest known textile ever made. It's a strong, fine and naturally breezy. Its fibre is very absorbent and shirts made of linen are valued for their exceptional coolness and freshness, especially in balmy and humid weather. Linen is 100% recyclable, durable, and environmentally sustainable.

THE RIGHT CHOICE: Linen fibres are 'stiff', so they don't stick to your body. This allows more air-flow that flows through to your skin; it also drys out quickly making you feel cooler. Its high air permeability which lets the air flow through the weave allowing room to breathe!

The story
Linen is the oldest vegetable fibre, was used 5.000 years B.C. Its name comes from Greek "lion", thread. The Ancient Egyptians and other Mediterranean civilisations made use of it.
At first, it was employed to manufacture clothes for nobles and aristocrats. Then it was utilised on a larger scale. The cultivation was spread in Europe in the Middle Ages.
Despite the introduction of cotton in the 1800AD, linen maintained its banner of a superior natural fiber.

The beauty
Linen is elegant and unique. It seduces those who have good taste and stands out. It's always new and shiny. The creases offer beautiful lights and shades, an expression of its character.

Linen's nature conveys easiness and effortless style. Clean cut shirts with deep coloured fabrics or crossed weave flax, are incredibly luxurious but understated. Basic blouses with simple lines and the linen textured edges call to a casual aesthetics.
