The Pantone colors of the year: Illuminating yellow and Ultimate Gray
Two fashion colors that the Pantone Institue launched to convey a message of strength and hopefulness
Usually, the Pantone Institute chooses one color of the year, but this time, after the uncertainty of the pandemic, they decided to convey a strong message through this double choice.
Hope and resilience. Lemon yellow and Gray. The first one is a lemony yellow that recalls the sun kissing your skin, the second one is a soft shade of grey that evokes peace and comfort. These two independent colors that come together to create an aspirational color pairing, conjoining thoughtfulness with the optimistic promise of a sunny day.
They are called PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating and PANTONE® 17-5104 Ultimate Gray.
